Interesting Article on Private Instant Messaging
As I was trolling the internet for recent news and information about secure private instant messaging, I found an interesting article about private instant messaging from a strange source this morning. ChristiaNet.com, a website which describes itself as “The Worldwide Christian Marketplace” has a very long article about private IM that can be found at http://www.christianet.com/internetservices/privateinstantmessaging.htm
Some of the things the article talked about was the growing popularity of private instant messaging for companies to use in their offices, and the concerns that employees will leak confidential business information through their IM conversations. It also mentions the use of encrypted applications to secure all IM conversations, which is exactly what Brosix does.
ChristiaNet also mentions the “three components” that are part of a “private instant messaging application.” These are: security, authenticity, and deniability. These components ensure that when you are sending a messaging to another user, it is the actual user, not a hacker or stranger. Deniability is the ability for private IM programs to not include the digital signature (usually the user’s computer IP address) when sending and receiving IMs.
Brosix encompasses all of these 3 components in order to provide a safe and secure instant messaging network. Because all of your instant messaging conversations are encrypted and sent through Brosix’s secure servers, you are guaranteed to send and receive secure messages.
