Brosix Free vs. ICQ
Today Brosix free is taking on another favorite IM tool, ICQ. Who will win this battle of the tools and move on to the next round?
First we will look at Brosix’s stats.

- Video Chat
- File Transfer
- Co-Browse

Now, onto ICQ
Cost: Free
Features:
- IM’s/ SMS
- Send a URL
- File Sharing (Variable Speed)
- Send a greeting card.
- Voice Messages (up to 15 seconds)
- ICQ Phone (PC Phone calls, for an additional fee)
- Chat rooms
- Games
- Email Import
File Sharing Capabilities: Yes, but speed is variable and you have to be willing to create a direct connection to the sending computer, which can create security risks. No encryption on files.
Group Collaboration Tools: Chat rooms, all other collaboration features are 1 to 1, not group.
Once again Brosix, with its ability to let you collaborate in many different ways, secure file sharing and abilities like screen shot that allow you to show (and not just tell), is the winner. Not to mention that ICQ’s online gaming access makes using it more of a distraction then it is a benefit.
Brosix Moves on to the next round.
