Business Chat IM: What are you looking for?

Some people have a difficult time finding a business chat IM that they are comfortable using. This happens for a number of reasons. Many don’t know what they want, so they end up putting this off. Others have an idea of what they are looking for, but learn soon enough that they are unable to find it. Before you ever start your search, you should make a list of the features that you want in a business chat IM.

One of the first things you may be looking for is an application that has a long history of helping organizations like yours. In other words, make sure you are relying on something that has suited the needs of others in the past. This way you can be confident that you will receive the same in the future.

Is security important to you? If your answer is no, something is wrong. No matter what business chat IM you decide to use, it is essential that it is secure at all times. A program that lacks security features is one that is going to let you down at some point in the future.

As noted above, features are very important in a business chat IM application. Do you have the ability to create user groups? Are you able to invite more than one person to a chat room? As you search for a program, you need to think long and hard about the features that are most important to you and your organization.
