So, for times that you are procrastinating and waiting until you are in a rush to finish a few work tasks or to confirm directions or deadlines, instant messaging is ideal. There are a lot of ‘instant’ helpers out there, but instant messaging can be helpful for anyone. However, I feel like ironically, with more communication and accessibility, also comes more excuses and a lot of procrastination. Knowing that I can talk to the person later makes me wait around to actually connect with them.

That’s why my goal of communicating better with everyone in my immediate circle (both professionally and personally) will help me stop procrastinating and help me be more successful. Besides texting and using email, I also like using instant messaging to communicate with the people I need to. That’s where Brosix comes in. Using the whiteboard and video conferencing helps me get projects done, and my brother and I can make eachother laugh using the text instant messaging.

Great news! Brosix has been nominated for the 2009 IT Blog Awards from ComputerWeekly.com in the ‘IT Security’ and ‘Company / Corporate - SME’ categories. Nominations will be narrowed down into a shortlist and then public voting will take place.
