How to Stay Organized by Planning Ahead
Every Sunday night or Monday morning, it can be extremely helpful to plan out the upcoming week. There are many areas of a person’s business or personal life, including:
- Meal planning
- Schedule work projects
- Social obligations
- Work meetings
- Budgeting
These are just some of the areas that can make people more productive and organized during the work week. Setting out a plan ahead of time makes action items much more likely to get done.
So, how to do you start planning for the work week if you’ve never done it before? Get a designated list medium. This could be:
- A dry erase board
- Designated notebook
- Desk calendar
- Digital Notebook, like Google Docs or Evernote
Having a set place to create lists and plans can help keep it organized by making it a default location to go when deciding what needs to be done next. Once a designated list medium has been set, separate out lists by their topic, say Work Tasks and Meal/Workout Planning. Personal and business lists should be kept separate if possible as well.
