Instant Messaging in the White House
Besides growing its presence in such a booming technological market, Instant Messaging has been a big topic in the news currently. Recently, ThinkProgress.org, a political progressive website, announced that President-Elect Barack Obama’s lawyers announced that the White House aides in Obama’s administration will not be allowed to use instant messaging while in the White House.
Obama has also been asked to get rid of his Blackberry PDA, because the emails and instant messaging sent with it may be open to hackers and threaten government confidentiality. Besides instant messaging communication being a security liability, instant messaging history and logs may also be allowed to be collected under the Presidential Records Act.
Although you and your company might not be the White House or in the government, having an instant messaging program that is secure should be a high priority. Because Brosix operates on your own private company network, there is no chance of virus infections or corrupt file transfers. Brosix uses an extremely high AES 256-bit encryption for all file transfers—making it virtually impossible to have your files stolen by someone who is not in your own private network.
