Interoffice secure instant messaging will catch on

It doesn’t take much for interoffice instant messaging to catch on. If your company encourages this mode of communication, there are several things they can do to make sure that everybody gets involved from day one:

1. Send out a mass email. This is the “go ahead” that employees need to get started with interoffice instant messaging. Of course, this email should include details on the do’s and don’ts, how to get started, etc. Remember, many employees will not using IM unless they are 100 percent sure that this is allowed.

2. Install the proper instant messaging program, such as Brosix, on every employee’s computer. This makes it easy for workers to send instant messages without having to jump through hoops.

3. Encourage employees to use instant messages instead of face to face meetings or phone calls. Remember, if employees do not begin to use the instant messaging tool it is not going to become popular. This is the type of thing that can catch on like wild fire as soon as all the benefits are realized. All it takes is a few employees to start the trend, and things will take off from there.

Interoffice instant messaging is a great communication tool, and a good way to save time and become a more efficient company. Once every employee is on the same page and using instant messages on a daily basis, the trend will pick up steam and benefits will begin to show themselves as the days go by.
