No matter what features your business instant messenger offers, one thing is for sure: you are expecting this to turn your office into a more efficient workplace. If your application is causing you more harm than good, now is the time to think about making a change. The last thing you want is a business instant messenger that is holding you back rather than helping you out.
What is the problem that you are facing? One of the first things you may notice is a lack of participation. In other words, nobody is using the business instant messenger that you have chosen. If this is the case, you need to get to the bottom of the problem. At some point, you have to take a survey to find out why employees are not using the application. You may find that the reason for this is something very minor. At the same time, don’t be surprised if there is a major problem that is leading to this avoidance.
If the problem is “feature related” you may be forced to make a change soon enough. After all, your current program is not going to immediately change into exactly what you are looking for. Although changing to a new business instant messenger can be a process, once complete you (and every other user) will be much happier.
Simply put, a business instant messenger is meant to bring new life to your company. It should help employees communicate, while increasing the overall level of efficiency. If yours is causing more harm than good, don’t be afraid to make a change.
