EmailGoogle GmailShare

Summertime can bring miserable temperatures for many areas of the United States and the world. It is important to stay cool during these times not only for health, but also for proper and effective productivity.

  • Stay Hydrated: Besides being distracting, getting dehydrated can lead to several health symptoms, including dizziness, fatigue, and more. Try to keep a water bottle at your desk at all times and keep it full throughout the day.
  • Keep Electronics Cool: Use a laptop cooling fan and a ceiling or floor fan to make sure that your office stays properly ventilated.
  • Stay Out of the Sun: This relates to the second bullet, but it is important not to sit directly in the sun, either outside or inside. Besides danger of sunburn, your electronics can overheat, causing them to run sluggish or malfunction.
  • Take Breaks Frequently: Walking around, no matter the season, can stave off blood clots and help keep productivity up.

These are just some of the helpful tips that come with making sure you and your electronics stay cool in the summer (as well as year-round).
