The workplace is where many people spend more than half of their waking lives. Being able to communicate efficiently within the workplace tends to make life a lot easier for everyone involved. It creates a smoother process of information gathering for the people at the top. It also allows for work mates to converse with one another and find out what can make life easier.
Having lines of communication with one another can also add an element of fun to the work place. Most older generations of corporate enterprises will probably scoff at the idea of including an element of play at the work place, but this is meant to increase productivity. It has been known that the happiest companies produce the most return of investment because of a better increase in productivity.
Those who are happy are able to work longer hours if they like what they do for a living. Those who do work on a day to day just hoping for a better life, do not manage to make as much as they potentially could on a better schedule or in a happier place.
