The Power of Instant Messaging
Hello all. My name is Nation Hahn and I am the new Brosix blogger. In the coming weeks I hope to post news of note, information that comes up, and otherwise stir up dialogue regarding the Brosix software and instant messaging in general. First off, however, I would like to briefly introduce myself and explain why I believe in this product and this company.
I am twenty two years of age meaning that effectively I grew up as part of the Internet generation, although I did not have an email address from birth like some teenagers have had today. Shortly after I was introduced to the exciting dot.com world - with the blazing speed of 28k dial-up connections - I was over at my older sister’s apartment messing around on her computer when I heard a loud knocking noise. Taken aback I almost jumped out of the chair which elicited a round of laughter from my sister and a question of, “what was that?” from me. She ended up spending the next half hour or so illustrating the world of instant messaging and how with the service she could speak to friends in Seattle, London, and beyond.
Flash forward a decade later and instant messaging is prevalent and spreading. I speak - and this seems to be common among my generation - to my friends more often via IM than via the telephone. Now video and voice messaging are being built in to IM platforms and the technology is spreading and growing.
Brosix is one of the companies that is blazing a new trail forward in the field and I am excited to be part of this venture. Enterprise instant messaging can offer companies instant, safe communication that can bring employees, executives, and consumers closer together for the greater good of their ventures together. I can’t imagine life in business fifteen years ago without the communication we enjoy today. I can’t imagine how the technology and innovation will progress over the next fifteen. I’m impressed with how ready companies are ready to adopt the next generation of software.
