Three Questions to ask when choosing a Business Chat IM

When attempting to choose a business chat IM you are going to have a lot of information going through your mind. Am I making the right decision? Is there something that would be better for the company? What if I make a mistake? These are just a few of the questions that are going to bog you down along the way.

While there is sure to be a lot on your mind, the following questions are most important:

1. Why do we need a business chat IM? There are many answers to this question. Some companies want to increase interoffice communication. Others want to give employees a better way of getting in touch with clients. Just make sure you have a good reason for wanting to implement this tool.

2. When will it be used? It goes without saying that a business chat IM is only good if it is going to get used on a regular basis. Make sure those within your organization are excited about the application, and willing to use it as often as possible.

3. Who will be using the program? This is a question that goes along with the two above. If you only have a couple people who want to use a business chat IM it is probably going to be neglected for the most part. On the other hand, you may find that there are hundreds of employees who want to try this out.

By asking and answering these three questions you will feel more comfortable moving forward. Soon enough you will be in position to choose the best business chat IM for your organization.
